Module Requirements

How to make a console form

Step 1 is to create an object. If you are making a church form, the object must contain the fields "Church" (if it's a church form) OR "Person" (if it's a clergy form) OR "Charge" (if it's a charge form) AND "Report_Year."

We recommend that you prefix all objects and forms with "CC" to help organization.

For field names in the object, keep them very short and do not use any characters except for letters or numbers

Step 2 is to crate the form. Once you've gone all the way through and created your object, you can click on SETUP and then click on Console Forms. You're going to want to click the link "create a form from an object." This will save you time because it will add in all the fields from the object. But, you're going to want to lengthen the field names from what you did in the object so that users know what they mean.

We recommend that you create headings to break up the form and make it easier to read. You're going to want to put in "text/description" field types that have an
in them. For example, you might want to put in
Ministry and Mission
and then set that to be a "text/description" field type.
