In United Methodist Church world, it's appointment-making time. The Greater Northwest Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church implemented a handy tool to make its Cabinet's (the appointment-making body) work easier. Through its People Portal, GNW allows its clergy to easily update a clergy profile for use in the appointment and evaluation process.
Accessible via the black box menu in the Portal, clergy can update the information in their profile using a connected data form. The form is connected to the People view for the Appointment Tool, so it automatically pulls in the information already in the database for the clergyperson. While most information can be changed, GNW has restricted the ability to change key items, such as name and spouse's name.
Once submitted, the complete report is available for the clergy to view and easily print.
